Pitch your solutions to the real Sharks and Dragons at Arch Summit 2019

Posted

Scaling your business and meeting the key decision makers is no small task. At Arch, we aim at bridging the gap between corporates and startups, helping ambitious entrepreneurs to scale their business globally. To give our startups the most value we have invited self-made, multi-millionaire tycoons from the hit reality TV shows ‘Shark Tank’ and ‘Dragons Den’ to judge the final round of the startup pitch competitions and select the winners of the 100K€ prize. Let’s take a closer look at our celebrity investors.

Robert Herjavec: Shark Tank (US)

A dynamic entrepreneur, Robert has built and sold several IT companies to major players such as AT&T. In 2003 Robert founded Herjavec Group, and it quickly became one of North America’s fastest growing technology companies. Today, Herjavec Group is recognized as a global leader in information security specializing in managed security services, compliance, incident response and remediation efforts for enterprise-level organizations.

Robert’s motivational business advice has received millions of impressions through TV, print, radio and digital media. He shares his expertise with other entrepreneurs as a leading Shark on ABC’s Emmy Award-winning hit Shark Tank.

Jenny Campbell: Dragon's Den (UK)

Jenny is an ex-career banker turned entrepreneur and business turnaround specialist. She is also the Founder of YourCash Europe, a pan European business that provides cash machines to the retail market.

Born into a business-orientated family of bankers, builders and printers Jenny hasn’t stood still since she was young. Shunning further formal education at the age of 16, Jenny began her working life counting cash in a bank branch.

Jenny shares her business experience with hopeful entrepreneurs in the BBC’s Dragons’ Den and brings feisty northern grit to the panel.

Frank Thalen: Die Hohle der Lowen (Germany)

Frank Thelen is one of the leading European series founders and one of the most successful early-stage investors. He has been setting up start-ups for over two decades and has reached over 100 million customers in more than 60 countries.

Today, Frank Thelen is involved, among other things, as an investor in "Outbank", "Lilium Aviation" and "hole19". In 2014, he sold his myTaxi investment to Daimler, in 2015 his Wunderlist investment in Microsoft. For his entrepreneurial activities, he was awarded, among others, with the "Microsoft Innovate4Society Award" by German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Since 2014, Frank Thelen has been on the search for new investment opportunities in the program “Die Hohle der Lowen" at VOX.

Bart Deconinck: De Leeuwenkuil (BE)

Bart has unrivalled experience in founding, building and operating global financial businesses delivering trust and corporate services to global clients; he was lead founder, Chairman and CEO of Vistra Group, one of today’s leading and largest international providers of corporate, fiduciary and company formation services.

Bart began his career with Ernst & Young and went onto hold several management positions at MeesPierson, a leading Private Bank and subsidiary of Fortis at the time where he was a member of the worldwide Executive Board, a member of the Fortis Management Council and the CEO of MeesPierson Intertrust. Since February last year he has been appearing on the Belgium television program ‘Leeuwenkuil’ the Flemish version of ‘The Dragon’s Den’.
